About the Author

     Sam Stone is a husband, father, and proud grandfather before anything else. A fifth-generation Texan with deep roots in the Lone Star State, he descends from a relative who fought for Texas independence at the Battle of San Jacinto under the command of General Sam Houston. That same spirit of liberty, grit, and unshakable resolve runs through his veins—and through every page of his books.

     Sam served over 30 years as a police officer in one of Texas’s largest law enforcement agencies, working everything from Patrol and Street Crimes to an FBI Gang Task Force, Intelligence, and eventually leading the entire Special Operations Division. As Commander, he oversaw Tier 1 SWAT, EOD, K9, Air Support, Dive Team, Drones, Robotics, Hostage Negotiation, and more. ​

      Now retired from public service, Sam has turned his full attention to writing high-octane, tactical thrillers that honor those who serve and protect. His Task Force Raven series is forged from experience and inspired by the same values that shaped his life: strength, honor, commitment, brotherhood, faith, and duty.

     Sam lives in the rolling Texas Hill Country with his fiercely supportive wife and two spoiled dogs. When he’s not writing or chasing down the next story idea, you’ll find him floating the river, catching live red dirt music, or searching out the next great Texas dive bar, , biergarten, icehouse, or honky tonk. A passionate traveler, Sam has visited 49 U.S. states—and calls Ireland and Portugal his favorite stops abroad.
