About the Author
Sam Stone writes high-stakes military, espionage, and transnational law enforcement thrillers grounded in real-world operational experience.

A seventh-generation Texan, Sam served more than three decades in one of Texas’s largest law enforcement agencies. Over the course of his career, he worked Patrol, Street Crimes, and an FBI Gang Task Force before moving into Intelligence and eventually commanding a full Special Operations Division. In that role, he oversaw SWAT, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, K9, Air Support, Dive Team, Robotics, Hostage Negotiation, and advanced tactical programs.

Those years shaped his understanding of leadership under pressure, interagency complexity, and the strategic realities that unfold where politics, intelligence, and force intersect. That perspective now informs his fiction.

His forthcoming novel, Obsidian, will be released by a major publisher and marks the beginning of a new thriller series. He is currently developing additional projects centered on elite joint task forces operating across international boundaries.

Sam lives in the Texas Hill Country with his wife and their two dogs. When he is not writing, he can be found traveling, floating a Central Texas river, or settling in at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium on fall Saturdays.
